Daoyin for the Heart Qigong A 6-week Online course commencing Friday 7th Nov 2025.   For this Autumn/Winter season, we will practice some seasonal Qigong movements and meditations that nourish the body at this time of year. Autumn and Winter Qigong teaches us to tune into Nature's prompts at this time - to slow down, to release, to rest, and to connect with a deeper sense of listening and wisdom.  This course will also include an exploration of a medical Qigong sequence which specifically targets the health of the Heart. Qigong seeks to nourish the smooth flow of energy in the body. This Form particularly helps to nourish and calm the Heart, cultivate Shen/Spirit and brings more balance to the entire body and nervous system. We will revisit each movement in great detail, including helpful acupressure and meditative aspects of the Form. We will explore the meaning of the Heart from a Chinese Medicine perspective, including 5 element theory. We will especially examine the role of the Kidneys (Water element) in helping to balance the Heart (Fire element). This is a beautiful set of 8 movements which we will learn and practice over the 6 weeks.  It is a very strengthening sequence of movements designed to benefit health and overall wellbeing. Each movement targets a specific meridian or energy pathway, helping to remove stagnation, improve circulation and felt sense of strength. Due to the meditative and slow nature of the movements, they are also of wonderful value to help focus the mind, improve clarity and ease stress and anxiety. Online 6-Week Qigong Course: Venue: Online via Zoom.  A copy of the live recording will be available to registered participants after each session.  Dates: Fridays, beginning 7th Nov 2025.  Time: 9.30am-10.40am Cost: €85 for the 6-week Course. (Dana/Donation welcome if experiencing any financial difficulty. Please contact me at taichi.qigong.haven@gmail.com) Suitability: Gentle exercise which will generally suit most people.
