5 Element Qigong - Metal Element Glounthaune Community Centre, Glounthaune, Cork. T45K124 A 6-week Course commencing Thursday 10th Sept 2026.  Suitability: Gentle exercise which will generally suit most people (See more suitability details below) For this series, we will return to the Five Element theory - one of the most important theories of traditional Chinese medicine and how it relates to Health Qigong. We will explore traditional Health Qigong practices that strengthen, balance and harmonise the Five Elements in the body, mind, heart and spirit. For this Course, we will learn about the Metal Element and its wonderful associations with the breath, and qualities such as Courage, Appreciation, Letting Go, Discernment, Inspiration, Beauty & Connection to Spirit. We will focus on practices that help nourish a sense of refinement, clarity and decisiveness. In traditional Chinese medicine, the Metal element is associated with the Lungs and Large Intestine. Each movement will help enliven and smoothen the flow of energy along these energy & organ pathways, helping to remove stagnation, improve circulation, and encourage a felt sense of wellbeing. Due to the meditative and slow nature of the movements, they are also of wonderful value to help balance the entire nervous system, focus the mind, improve clarity, and reduce stress and anxiety. Gentle movement is a wonderful way of bringing balance and ease to our entire body, heart, mind and spirit. 6-Week Qigong Course: Venue: Glounthaune Community Centre, Glounthaune, Cork.
