Tel: 086 1675642 Dates: Tuesdays, from 4th March Time: 4pm - 5.10pm Venue: The Fusion Centre, Cois Tra, Ringnasilloge, Dungarvan Tai Chi and Qigong are ancient Chinese systems of movement using gentle, relaxing body movements for the promotion of health and wellbeing. I am delighted to offer a new introductory course to explore these slow-moving, meditative practices. In this course, I will be exploring Tai Chi and Qigong embodiment principles, and we will learn movements from both traditions. We will explore the health benefits from a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, as well as the history and cultural background to these practices. Qigong movements target a specific meridian or energy pathway, helping to remove stagnation, improve circulation and felt sense of strength. Due to the meditative and slow nature of the movements, they are also of wonderful value to the nervous system, to help focus the mind, improve clarity and ease stress and anxiety. As with all courses, we take a slow, meditative approach with inner listening to the body and its feedback. We will continue to build on mindful awareness as we practice. Booking essential with Waterford Sports Partnership.
